Simply Designed is an online company, therefore we do not have a local retail store. All orders are placed through our secure online storefront. We have made it a priority to make the online process as simple and straight-forward as possible but if you have questions about placing your order, please feel free to contact us.
From the time you place your order, to the moment it is in your hands, typically takes 3-4 weeks. This all depends, of course, on how long it takes you to review and approve your proofs. Here’s a quick breakdown of our typical turnaround times:
- Initial proof sent – 48 – 72 hours (or 2-3 business days)*
- Proof review process – (depends on you)
- Proof edits (if necessary) – 1 to 2 business days*
- Printing and production – 10 to 14 business days* for stationery items
*Please note that these timeframes are approximations and do not take into account unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a printing delay beyond our control, we will do our absolute best to complete and ship your items as quickly as possible.
We do accept rush orders… We offer rush orders ($100, not including expedited shipping) but please let us know ahead of time that this is your need. We can also send unprinted envelopes to you ahead of the invitations, so you can begin addressing them while we print your invitations. We also offer expedited shipping – we strongly suggest you spring for this if you’re in a hurry! There are several ways to reduce the turnaround time with your invitations with out incurring rush charges: Have all your wording prepared and proofread ahead of time. Multiple requests for proof revisions are the biggest contributor to prolonged turnaround times, and can increase the likelihood of error. While we encourage you to get creative with custom ordered inks, papers and envelopes, these options add time to the invitation production process and ordering from the paper mills.
STEP 1: WINDOW SHOP
We have many items to choose from whether it is wedding stationery, personal stationery, our baby and kid line or custom ordering.
Click on the product thumbnail to view that product’s main page. On the products main page, you will find all the details related to that item: product image and description, available options for the design (ie. colors, fonts, paper and envelope options) price guide, other items that are available for that design (matching items).
Since designs are not available in every possible ink and paper color, we have a selected group of color combinations for you to preview. But remember if you don’t see your color combination, but really like a design, don’t hesitate to contact us and we will more than happy to help you out.
STEP 2: PLACE YOUR ORDER ONLINE
Once you have made your decision, place your order online. Each design has a form to fill out, you must fill in the form before hitting the submit button. The system will prompt you on all necessary steps, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
STEP 3: REVIEWING PROOFS
Once you have submitted your order, we will review your order for completeness and accuracy and then within 48-72 hours of receiving your order, we will send you a PDF proof. Every order is handled by us personally and we will make sure that everything looks great for you. If changes are requested during the proofing process, edits will be made and a new set of proofs will be sent electronically to you in 2 business days. Proofs MUST be approved by the customer before the production process can begin. We will not send anything to our printing vendors without full approval from our customers.
Proofs are only sent after you place the order. We do not offer real-time automated proofs during the ordering process. We feel that this doesn’t offer the best view of the design since the systems can’t correct spacing, tweak the fonts or design like a designer would. Since the layout and quality of the design is very important to us, we work on each individual file after an order is placed, to guarantee the best possible design.
STEP 4: OFF TO PRESS
Once we have final approval from our customer, production will begin within 24-48 hours after receiving approval (weekends not included). First we will begin our pre-press work. Your file is sent to our printing partner and added to the printing queue. Once your invitation is on press, we will personally do a proof and press check for you, ensuring that you are getting the proper colors and the best quality final product. After the ink has dried, your order is picked up from the printer, and we hand check every piece and then package and ship everything off to you. (for those extra busy brides, we will assemble your invitations and stationery packages if requested for an extra cost, this is called our concierge service.)
STEP 5: SHIPPING
We carefully package and ship your order. All stationery orders are shipped either USPS or FedEx, unless requested otherwise. Packages are insured and tracked for your records, and can be signature required if requested. Please see our shipping policy.
STEP 6: THE FUN PART!
Your order has arrived! When your stationery package or invitations arrive, please check all the contents of your box thoroughly. We hand package every item personally, but we are human and mistakes do happen (but not often, we are slightly obsessive with checklists). If there is an error in your order, please contact us within 3-5 days of delivery, and we will do everything in our power to correct the issue. If there is a printing error or quality control issue, your order will be reprinted. Reprinting typically takes 5-7 business days for a rush order, so it is very important that you contact us immediately.
STEP 7: SEND US SOME LOVE, PLEASE
